Shay Lawz is a poet and interdisciplinary artist from Jersey City, NJ. She works at the intersection of text and performance and has presented work at Brown University, RISD, AS220, and Pratt Institute. Her writing appears or is forthcoming in Aster(ix), Winter Tangerine, and McSweeney’s Quarterly Concern, among others. She is a graduate of Brown University’s MFA program in Literary Arts and has received fellowships/residencies from Jack Jones Literary Arts, Cave Canem, and CAAPP (University of Pittsburgh). Currently, she is at work on a project incorporating sound, image, and movement to examine how our methods of communicating state and institutional violence—through (social) media, personal and collective grief, and the recognition of one another—transform the living, queer Black body. She teaches at Pratt Institute in the department of Humanities and Media Studies and lives in Brooklyn, NY.

Jana Rosinski is a creator/curator of textual ephemera, a doctoral student, and a special collections curatorial assistant. She writes about affect, game design, and the embodiment of illness/health. She cares for the capture and communication of the experiential and explores this through media documentation of her own body’s dis/abilities. Recently, Jana made a sleepwalking poetry bot born of mourning @nocturn_s, had a poem about navigating her mother’s cancer through textual depictions of the disease in Really System, and was a research fellow at The Strong National Museum of Play. She’s worked as a high school composition and drama teacher, an editor, a university writing instructor, and a patient of many faces/ailments for training medical students. She currently attends Syracuse University and daydreams of living in a working museum (or working in a living museum).
